I just want to start out by saying these are in no particular order! I love all of these lip products (and own/have tried almost all of them). When purchasing, it really comes down to formula and colour preference!
This first item is a liquid lipstick from Anastasia Beverly Hills in the shade Allison. It’s $26 CAD, like all of the permanent colours. The ABH formula is amazing and one of my favourites for liquid lipsticks. Bonus- this colour is very similar (but not exact) to Kat Von D’s Lolita I. I don’t like the KVD formula so I am very excited for this one! I purchased it about a month ago and I wore it as part of an ombre lip look. It was so beautiful!
This next lipstick is from Bite and it’s called Mistletoe– so cute! It’s $30 CAD. The amuse bouche formula is so hydrating and beautiful. I love that Bite products are made from food grade ingredients. This is a beautiful, classic holiday red. I have not yet purchased this but I have had a chance to swatch it (someone I work with did buy it- it looks amazing on her!). It seems to be the exact same formula as the regular amuse bouche lipsticks.
Can we just take a second to admire the packaging on this beauty? This is such a beautiful purple with pink undertones. Urban Decay released this Vice lipstick in the shade Troublemaker for the holidays. Unfortunately, it reminds me so much of Mac’s Rebel that I won’t be purchasing this. I have two of those, since one came out in limited packaging for the 2014 holidays. But at $21, it’s a great buy if you don’t own many purple lipsticks!
Nars has also released a holiday lipstick- this is the Audacious Lipstick in Rita. It’s $39… and part of their permanent collection. Hold up, permanent? Unfortunately yes, it’s just special packaging. However I do love the formula and this colour is such a stunning holiday red that I couldn’t leave it off the list!
Last but certainly not least is White Russain by Buxom. It’s only $24 CAD and the most beautiful nude colour ever. I used to never wear nude lip products… until I bought this on a whim. I have full lips, so I don’t care whether or not they actually plump like they are advertised to do, but the cooling sensation is so amazing. I actually have two of these because I’m worried I’ll finish a full tube before next winter! I love the frosted glass packaging as well. Super cute.
There you have it folks, my top 5 limited edition lipsticks (well… lip products, I suppose) of the 2016 holiday season.
