Laura Geller Baked Gelato Swirl Illuminator Review (Diamond Dust)

My dad recently visited the United States, and he offered to pick me up some makeup from Ulta. I was very excited to get everything, and even more excited to review it!

The Laura Geller Baked Gelato Swirl Illuminator’s are classics. I have always wanted to try one! The shade Diamond Dust is limited edition. It can be purchased from Ulta for just under $35CAD. It comes with .16oz of product. It is a little on the expensive side, but I don’t mind as long as the quality is there. So… is it?

The packaging on this is pretty underwhelming. It definitely feels and looks cheap (it reminds me of e.l.f packaging). The actual swirl of the product is cute though. It does have some weight to it as well, which is somewhat redeeming.

I managed to snag a picture of the pink/opal shift! On the left half of the swatch you can see a somewhat milky white shade, and on the right half there is a cool-toned pink shift. The pink side was hitting the light. The actual product is beautiful. For a powder product, it’s very smooth and buttery. I also like that it’s pigmented and has almost no fallout!

Overall, I would advise picking this guy up! The colour is nothing crazy unique, but a beautiful formula and application make up for that. Too bad about the packaging though!
